Many creatures in the New World are the result of the meddling of the gods, and Slern is, perhaps, the greatest corruptor of the five. Shadescale, however, has seen surprisingly little change since Slern took it under his wing. Born in the great Essence Mire of the Southern Reach, this Dark Hydra arose with a taste for destruction and chaos.
